Rose, Annie E. (Marriage - 23 Oct. 1936)

A very interesting wedding took place at the Reformed parsonage in Colby, Rev. H. K. Hartmann reading the marriage ceremony, Friday, Oct. 23rd, 1936, when Miss Annie E. Rose, daughter of George Washington Rose, became the bride of Mr. Mr. Jake Werner. Mrs. Wm. Schorer acted as the bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Mr. Wm. Schorer. Mrs. H. K. Hartmann acted as flower bearer.

The bride was attired in a very becoming gown of navy blue and white and her bouquet consisted of sweet peas and roses. The bridesmaid wore a gown of black and white and her bouquet consisted of white flowers.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the Werner home, the rooms being nicely decorated in rose, white, blue and pink for the occasion. In the evening a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion.

Guests present were Rev. and Mrs. H. K. Hartmann, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schorer, Norma Schorer, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gerlach and son of Sheboygan Falls, Robert Schorer, Mrs. Agnes Schorer, Robert Schorer Jr., Rinold Werner and Arthur Werner of Elkhart Lake, Roland Schorer, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Witte, Paul Witte, Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Horner, Emil Horner, Margaret Horner, Orville Horner, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Stettler, Loretta Stettler, Johnie Stettler, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schorer, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hanson, Beatrice Dietsche and Delores Dietsche.

Mr. and Mrs. Werner will make their home at the Werner farm home east of Colby.
