Kuse, Elizabeth Marie (Marriage - 22 Oct. 1936)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the Zion Lutheran parsonage in Colby Thuesday afternoon, Oct. 22nd, at 2:30, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Elizabeth Marie Kuse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kuse of Auburndale, became the bride of Mr. Harold Wiersig, son of Mr. Ewald Wiersig. Miss Martha Egger, cousin of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by his brother, Mr. Reinhardt Wiersig.

The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of royal blue velvet of floor length and her bouquet consisted of white chrysanthemums, carnations, roses and ferns. The bridesmaid wore a dress of blue taftetta, ankle length, and her bouquet was similar to the bride’s.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Schneider, the home being nicely decorated with blue and white streamers for the occasion. The newlyweds will be at home immediately on a farm east of Colby.
