Johnson, Genevieve M. (20 Feb. 1918 - 1 Sept. 1985)

Unity, Wis. - Mrs. Forrest (Genevieve M.) Johnson, 67, Unity, died at 2:47 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity. The Rev. Timothy Dusenberg will officiate. Pallbearers will be Harry Zrutskie, George and Roger Weiler, George Miller, Ray Gurtner, Bud Schultz. Honorary pallbearers will be Norm Reimer, John Krause and Stuart Salter. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Rux Funeral Home, Colby.

The former Genevieve Misener was born Feb. 20, 1918 in Rib Lake to Van and Ida (Liepert) Misener. She attended Rib Lake schools and Unity, Wis. High School. She was married to Forrest Johnson June 28, 1941 at Trinity Lutheran Church. She and her husband owned and operated Johnson’s Garage in Unity and Colby. Her husband died Sept. 21, 1982.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Women’s club, and the Unity American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Lorren and Michael, both of Colby, two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Sandra) Stonman, Madison, and Tammi Johnson, Stevens Point; two brothers, Ray Misener, Walworth, and Glen (Abe) Misener, King, and seven grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents and one brother.
