Hahn, Julius Herman (5 Jan. 1858 - 29 July 1935)

Funeral services for Julius Herman Hahn, who died of heart trouble of three years duration, July 29th at the home of his son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dommer, one mile west of Colby, at the age of seventy-seven years, six months and twenty-four days, were held Friday, August 2nd, at the home and at the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church, North Spencer, Rev. H. C. Hintz officiating, and internment was made in the North Spencer cemetery. The pall bearers were Robt. Andre, Charlie Andre, John Voelker, Walter Bruesewitz, Fred Bruesewitz, Frank Bruesewitz. The flower girls were Ilene Buettner, Ardis Hahn, Lorraine Hahn, Viola Hahn, Leona Dommer, Mrs. Alvin Feuerhammer, LaVerne Bruesewitz, Mrs. Elwood Diethman.

The deceased was born in Pommern, Germany, and came to this country when fourteen years of age and lived at Iron Ridge, Dodge County, for several years. In 1881, he was married to Elsia Boeder at Theresa, Dodge County, who preceded him in death. They came to Marathon county in 1881 and lived for many years at Spencer. In April, 1934, Mr. Hahn moved to the farm one mile west of Colby with his son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dommer.

He is survived by the following children: Robert Hahn of Riplinger, Wis., Arthur Hahn of Riplinger, Louise Hahn of Gresham, Wis., Mrs. Carl Dommer of Colby, Mrs. Paul Buettner of Spencer. Also one brother, Fred Hahn of Theresa, Wis.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hahn and family of Gresham, Mr. Fred Hahn of Theresa, Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Hoffmann and Art Hoffmann and daughter of Stanley, Mr. Richard Mittelstadt and Mr. Albert Luke of Waupun.
