Young, Donald H. (2 Aug. 1931 - 1 April 2007)

Donald H. Young, 75, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, died April 1, 2007, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was cremated at Goes Funeral Care & Crematory in Fort Collins, Colorado, on April 6, 2007. His cremains will be place at the Rock Island National Cemetery, at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2007.

Donald H. Young was born Aug. 2, 1931, in Neillsville, Wisconsin, the son of Leo M. Sr., and Frieda Siems Young. He served in the Army from 1957 to 1959. He worked as a laborer/equipment operator in the construction business. He was a avid fisherman.

Survivors include daughters, Nancy (Howard) Mingin, Davenport, Donna ( Kevin) Powell, Annawan, Ill., and Christi Prust, Colorado Springs, Colorado; stepdaughter, Sherri (Howard) Gripp, East Moline, Illinois; sons, James, John, and Kevin Young, all of Davenport; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, William (Dolores) Young, Shullsburg, Wisconsin, and Edwin (Shirley) Young, of Silvis, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Christine Young, Moline, Illinois, and Anna Young, Durant, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Mary Ann Young, grandson, Jimmy Young, former wife, Wanda Young, brothers, Leo, Robert, Richard, and Jerry Young; and sisters, Yvonne Garrow and Jacqueline Linka.
