Clouse, Beulah (2 SEP 1939)

Many friends gathered in the Marshfield Gospel Tabernacle Saturday at 10 A. M., Sept. 2, to witness the marriage of Miss Beulah Clouse to Mr. Robert Reigel.

The bride wore a dress of powder blue crepe and a shoulder length veil, and carried an arm bouquet of mixed flowers. Her attendants were Miss Eleanore Schultz of Juneau, a cousin of the groom and Miss Gene Hill of Marshfield. Miss Schultz was gowned in blue sheer wool and Miss Hill in rose sheer wool. All wore accessories of white.

The groom’s attendants were his brother Harland Reigel, Marshfield, and Bernard Clouse, Loyal, brother of the bride. Gerald Southerd, Marshfield, was usher.

The Rev. James Ogden, Marshfield performed the double ring marriage ceremony and the Rev. Wm. McNaughten, Platteville, delivered the nuptial sermon. The wedding march was played by Miss Amy Cook, Marshfield, and Mrs. Thomas George, Marshfield, an aunt of the groom sang the hymn, "Jesus Leads."

Dinner was served to about thirty guests at the home of the bride’s parents. Those from away that attended the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. James Reigel and son LaVern, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Weaver and son Irvin, and Mr. and Mrs. John Reigel and sons Elmer and Eddie, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Reigel and son Donald, Columbus, Ohio; and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Schultz and son Ralph, Juneau.

Both church and home were decorated with blue and white streamers and garden flowers. Above the bridal party an arch of blue and white added to the decorations in the church and a large white wedding bell added to the home decorations.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Clouse, Loyal, R. 2 and is a graduate of the St. Paul Bible School. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Reigel, Marshfield, R. 3, and is a graduate of the Marshfield High School. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin they will be at home to their friends on a farm near Marshfield.

Among the wedding gifts received was a set of silver teaspoons which had been a wedding present to the groom’s parents 1882.

The Tribune adds its best wishes and congratulations for Mr. and Mrs. Reigel to that of their many other friends.
