Johnson, Evelyn Anna (August 10, 1913 - July 31, 2007)

Evelyn Johnson, age 93, of Neillsville, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville, Wis.

Evelyn Anna Westphal was born on August 10, 1913, in the Town of Seif, Clark County, Wis., the daughter of Claude and Margaret (Wegner) Westphal. She attended Neillsville High School and graduated in 1932. On September 16, 1936 she was united in marriage to Walter Johnson. She lived in Neillsville her entire life.

She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Wis.

She is survived by a son, Robert (Elsbeth) Johnson, of Neillsville, two grandchildren of California; and a brother, Marvin (Arsula) Westphal of Neillsville, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a son, Dennis, her parents and two brothers.

Funeral Services for Evelyn were held Saturday, August 4, 2007 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Daniel Cole officiated. Music was provided by Judy Trunkel, organist. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Evelyn’s family with funeral arrangements.
