Green, Benjamin (3 Oct. 1866 - 11 Dec. 1934)

Funeral services for Benjamin Green, who died from a heart attack at his home at Curtiss, Wisconsin Tuesday evening of last week, were held Friday afternoon at the Congregation church at Curtiss, Rev. W. P. Powell officiating, and burial was made in the Pine Hill cemetery. A quartet composed of Mrs. Theodore Thompson, Miss Agnes Rued, John Lokken and John Erickson, with Ruth Thompson at the piano, sang "Jesus Savior, Pilot Me" and "Abide With Me."

The deceased was born in Clarksville, Ohio, Oct. 3, 1866, and came to the town of Hoard in 1892. He operated a saw mill in the northern part of the township for a number of years and in 1909 moved to the village of Curtiss where he established a general store. He is survived by his widow and four children, namely: Ralph S. Green of Curtiss, Stacey Green of Valparaiso, Ind., Mrs. Jacob Johnson of Curtiss and Mrs. L. K. Neitzel of Abbotsford, Wis.

The out of town people here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hanson of Fifield, Eleanor and Robert Green of LaCrosse, Mr. and Mrs. DuWayne Bulgrin of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hoffman, Mrs. Harry Treat, Mrs. Al. Strebe and Mrs. Adelaide Simerson of Abbotsford, Wis.
