Dietche, Frances (Marriage - 4 July 1934)

At a nuptial mass celebrated at 8 o’clock Wednesday morning at St. Bernard’s church at Abbotsford, the Rev. Father Novak officiating, Miss Frances Dietche of Chicago, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dietche of Abbotsford, was united in marriage with William Schoch of Stevens Point.

Miss Florence Dietche of Abbotsford, sister of the bride, served as her maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Bernice Dietche of Abbotsford and Miss Ione Duval of Riplinger. The maid of honor was attired in yellow taffeta and the bridesmaids were dressed alike in frocks of pink taffeta. The three wore picture hats of horsehair braid and carried pink roses and carnations.

Joseph Schoch of Glidden attended his brother as best man.

White satin, trimmed with lace and pearls fashioned in the bride’s wedding gown, and with it she wore a waist-length veil of tulle. Her flowers were white roses showered with lilies of the valley.

A wedding breakfast was served to twenty-five guests at the home of the bride’s parents. Guests from out of town included Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schoch of Glidden, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Bruckner of Rhinelander, the Misses Dorothy and Margaret Driscall of Owen and the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Ben Dietche of Spencer.

Mr. and Mrs. Schoch will reside at Stevens Point and will be at home to friends after July 15. They are now on a motor trip through northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.
