Draheim, Irene (8 SEP 1934)

Miss Irene Draheim, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Draheim of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Elmer Youmans, son of Sena Youmans of Owen, at a quiet ceremony at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 1934, at the Danish Lutheran Church at Withee, the Rev. Mikkelsen reading the ceremony in the presence of immediate relatives and friends.

The couple were attended by Mr.a nd Mrs. C.R. Vater of Withee, the former being a sister of the bride.

The bride was attired in a brown frock of crepe and satin with hat and slippers to match. The bridal bouquet was of roses, sweet peas and ferns. The matron of honor wore a gown of black and white satin with black hat and slippers, and a shoulder bouquet of rosebud and ferns.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony. Entertainment consisted of cards and dancing. Supper was served at 11 o’clock. Covers were laid for 60 guests.

Out of town guests were Mrs. Berth Muller and son, Walter, and grandson, Robert, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Christiansen and son, Peter, and Mrs. Larson of Racine.
