Loyal

Sugar makers report a medium sap up to date.

Miss Delia Cook, who has been sick for some time now, is still lingering in the last stages of consumption, without hope of recovery.

The temperance ticket came off victorious at the last town election. The license men say that "Preacher Foster" is to blame for depriving them of their beer, &c, the coming year. We don’t think that Mr. Foster cast but one of the fifty-five straight temperance votes against twenty-three straight whiskey votes.

Joe Mack, while sinking a well on James Rodgers’ farm, came upon a log of wood six to eight inches in diameter, fifty-two feet below the surface, in a fair state of preservation. Query - Who lived down three years ago, long before Loyal was known? Wonder if the people forgot to get out of bed?
