Thomas, Mr./Mrs. David (50th Anniv. - 4 Dec. 1932)

Mr. and Mrs. David Thomas celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary, Sunday, December 4th.

Miss Mary Elizabeth Williams was born at Snells, near Neenah, Wisconsin June 4, 1862, and Mr. Thomas was born in the town of Harrison, near Menasha, August 29, 1858. They were married December 4, 1882, at the home of the bride at Snells, the Rev. T. J. Evans officiating. They moved to Thomasville, now known as Colby, where Mr. Thomas was employed in a sawmill owned by D. J. Thomas, which plant also included clothes pin and broom handle departments. Later they moved to Menasha, where Mr. Thomas was employed in the Hulce brickyard.

The couple also took up a homestead at Brooklyn, N.D., and lived in the state of Washington for many years.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas are members of the First Presbyterian church of Abbotsford, and Mr. Thomas is also a member of the Independent Order of Foresters, of which he was a member for twenty years.
