Williams, Margaret (Marriage - 18 Nov. 1932)

Miss Margaret Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Williams, Curtiss, became the bride of Orville Laabs, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Laabs, also of Curtiss, at a ceremony which was performed Friday afternoon by the Rev. P. P. Powell, of Owen, at the home of the bride’s parents, which was decorated for the occasion with green and white cut flowers.

Preceding the ceremony Miss Lorraine Lupient sang "O Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly."

The bride wore a gown of brown velvet with brown accessories and carried a bride’s bouquet of roses. Miss Amelia Bannock, a friend of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, wore black velvet with black accessories and carried a bouquet of carnations. The groom was attended by his cousin, Norman Marquardt, as best man.

Following the ceremony a six o’clock dinner was served for immediate relatives. Covers were laid for twenty.

The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford, Wis. High school and St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, class of ’31. The groom holds the position of bookkeeper for the Laabs cheese company.

Mr. and Mrs. Laabs left on a week’s wedding trip to Chicago and on their return will make their home in Curtiss, Wis.
