Meier, Robert E. (21 JUN 1929 - 20 DEC 1936)

Friends were saddened to learn of the death of Robert Meier, seven year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Meier, who passed away at the St. Joseph Hospital at Marshfield Sunday evening at 11 o’clock. Robert had been ill for twelve days with pneumonia.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock from the home and at 2 at the Peace Evangelical Church with the Rev. J.J. Hofmann officiating. Interment was made at the Colby Cemetery. Pallbearers were six of his roommates, La Verne Sauter, Donald Genrich, Donald Paulson, Gordon Schief, Allen Pudleiner and Eldred Gumz. The flower girls were Rosemary Goldamer, Ila May Hoffman, and Beverly and Beatrice Paulson.

Robert Edward Meier was born at Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) June 21, 1929. He spent his childhood here and was a student of the second grade at the public school this year. He is survived by his parents, one brother, Alfred, and four sisters, Lola Mae and Dorothy of Chicago, and Ruth and Beverly at home. He is also survived by three aunts and uncles, Mrs. and Mrs. Alfred Neurenberger, Stetsonville; Mr. and Mrs. William Meier, Neenah; and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Luloff, Donald. His grandmother, Mrs. Mina Meier, Dorchester, and his grandfather, Herman Neurenberger, Minocqua, also survive him.

The many friends join us in offering sincerest sympathy to the family in their sorrow.
