Ruprich, Hulda (2 JUN 1887 - 26 APR 1936)

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Joseph Ruprich who passed away at the Medford Clinic Sunday morning at 6:40 of heart trouble, from which she has been ailing for about a year. Services in charge of Rev. J.R. Kalwitz were held and the home at 1 o’clock and at Peace Evangelical Church at 2 o’clock.

Hulda Wolf was born June 2, 1887, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wolf, on their farm home about two miles northwest of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.). She was 48 years, 10 months and 24 days old at time of death. She grew to young womanhood here, and on January 9, 1906 she was united in marriage to Joseph Ruprich at the Peace Evangelical Church. Follow their marriage they moved to Mr. Ruprich’s farm four miles northwest of the village in the town of Little Black (Taylor Co.) where they have since resided. Six children were born to them, on son, Alfred, dying in infancy.

Mrs. Ruprich had been in ill health for the past year and she had been required to give up all work at home and at the church. Recently her family took her to Muscatine, Iowa for treatments and it was but a few weeks after her arrival home that she became more seriously ill and was taken to the Medford Hospital where she passed away.

Always a quiet, capable woman,, she acquired a large group of friends who loved her for her earnestness and sincerity. In her home life she gave of herself unsparingly and loved leaving such a wound at her departure that only time can heal. Her interest in church work, evidence by her membership in the Peace Evangelical Church and the Women’s Union, was one of her joys in serving others and she shall be sorely missed by all who were with her.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Henry Fisse, nee Anna, and Miss Hildegarde at home; and three sons, Arnold and Alvin at home, and Elmer at Wausau. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Selma Wolf, Dorchester; five sisters, Mrs. John Schwartz, Mrs. Anton Boxrucker, Mrs. Herman Wilke and Mrs. William Tauchen, Dorchester, and Mrs. Arthur Bruesewitz of Auburndale; three brothers, Carl Wolf, Rockglen, Sask., Canada, Ed and William Wolf of Dorchester, Wis.
