Denzin, Harvey C. (22 DEC 1910 - 13 DEC 1935)

Due to lack of space and time the following obituary was omitted from the Weekly Clarion the past week and we publish it now for the many friends who may have failed to see notices in other papers.

Funeral services for Harvey Carl Denzin, 25, who passed away at the Mount View Sanatorium Thursday, Dec. 13, 1935, were held the following Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home of Mrs. Denzin’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Empey in the town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.), and at 2 o’clock at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Milan with the Rev. George Groh officiating. Interment was made at Milan with Delbert Denzin, William Denzin, William Empey, Eldred Empey, Andrew Haderlein and Ervin Zahorka as pallbearers. Flower girls were Verna Stelzel, Dora, Viola and Mildred Denzin, Bernice Zahorka and Vivian Empey.

Mr. Denzin was born in the town of Holton, Wis. Dec. 22, 1910. When he was six years old, his mother, Mrs. Fred Denzin, passed away. On July 25, 1932 he was united in marriage to Miss Mildred Empey at Waukegan, Ill., and during the past three years he was employed at Chicago. Becoming ill about a year ago, he entered the Mount View Sanitarium where he remained until his death. He is survived by his widow, one son, Norman, 3, his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Denzin, his grandfather, Fred Denzin Sr., a brother, Arno, a sister, Mrs. Henry Venske, two half-brothers, Alvin and Ray Denzin, and four half-sisters, Viola, Mildred, Dora and Erline Denzin.

The many friends of the Denzin family join us in offering sympathy to them.
