Cutts, Lena (6 Nov. 1874 - 18 Dec. 1951)

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday at the Unity Methodist Church for Mrs. Lena Cutts, 77, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nathan Cornell, at Eau Claire, at about 6 A.M. Tuesday.

Mrs. Cutts, a Unity resident for many years, has been making her home with her daughter for the past two years.

Rev. F. J. Smith will officiate at the services and burial will be made in the Brighton cemetery.

She is survived by six children.

Funeral services were held at Saturday afternoon at the M. E. Church in Unity for Mrs. Lena Cutts, 77, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nathan Cornell, in Eau Claire, Tuesday morning December 18 following a lingering illness.

The Rev. F. J. Smith officiated and internment was in the Brighton cemetery.

Pallbearers were S. A. Cook, Melvin Tennis, Nyole Creed, Tom Loughead, Unity; and Mr. Nathan Cornell Jr., and Mr. Claude Cornell of Eau Claire.

Mrs. Rodney Fuller sang Beyond the Sunset and Rock of Ages accompanied by Mrs. Tom Loughead on the piano.

Mrs. Cutts was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Heintz and was born in Fond du Lac November 6, 1874. She came to Unity with her parents at the age of 2 and lived here until two years ago when she went to live with her daughter because of ill health. She was married to W. A. Cutts in Unity December 11, 1894. Her husband preceded her in death November 17, 1943. She was a member of Lady Grey Rebekah Lodge for many years.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nathan Cornell, Eau Claire, and Mrs. F. J. McIntyre, Los Angeles; four sons, Rollo of Stockton, Calif., LaVern of Neillsville, Eldred of Madison, and Adrian of Eau Claire, three brothers, Otto and Max of Colby, and Louis of Armstrong Creek. There were also ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
