Humbird

Mr. J. Cross made a flying visit to Chippewa Falls on Monday, the 25th.

The many friends of Rev. M. Robinson gladly welcome him back to his old charge, at Fairchild and Humbird, for another year. His sermons have the rare merit of pith and brevity.

Mr. M. D. Andrus, of this village, is succeeding finely as Principal of the school at Fairchild.

Died, on Tuesday, Sept. 26th, after an illness of only twenty four hours, Harrly, only child of Henry and Emma Clark, aged one year and nine months. The funeral occurred on Thursday. They bereaved parents have the sympathy of the entire community is this sudden and painful affliction.

Mr. Fred. Haner being transferred from the St. Paul and Elroy mail route to the new line between Hudson and Ashland, will soon remove his family to Hudson. His friends, who are legion, regret his departure, but wish him success and happiness in his new home.

Business is brisk and our people happy.
