Strey, Arthur B. #2 (6 APR 1920 - 14 APR 2007)

Arthur B. Strey, 87, Spencer, died on Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Marshfield. Memorial services were held on Tuesday, April 17, at 7 p.m., at the Community Funeral Home, Spencer.

Arthur B. Strey was born on April 6, 1920, to Albert and Ida (nee Thomas) Strey in the town of York. He attended Romadka Grade School. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and woodworking. Besides farming in the town of York for 40 years, he was a truck driver, hauling milk and later pulling mobile homes in his retirement years.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Strey, Spencer, six sons, Richard (Marie) Strey, Neillsville, Thomas (Kay) Strey, Waco, Texas, Harry (Paulette) Strey, Loyal, Peter (Linda) Strey, Jon (Connie) Strey and Jim (Mary) Strey, Spencer; one daughter, Susan Butterfield, Granton; 26 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one granddaughter, Lisa Strey.

Marina/Community Funeral Home, Spencer, assisted the family with arrangements.
