Kowalk, Fred (18 Oct. 1891 - 15 May 1948)

Fred Kowalk, 56, who lived two miles north of the village, died Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

He was born October 18, 1891, at Park Falls and came with his parents to the farm north of here. He was married in Colby August 3, 1927, to Gladys Rucks, who survives with two children.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Zion Lutheran Church at Colby. He was laid to rest in the Colby cemetery.
