Sherwood Forest - 16 June 1882

Editors Times: Everything in town is booming this week. Mr. Miller and Mr. Meddaugh are making eighty rods of turnpike. There is not time to waste; they are all getting ready for logging hardwood to the new mill.

We are getting plenty of rain.

Chas. Brown is thinking of going to Lake Superior to stay during the warm weather.

Miss Nettie Lynch, of Neillsville, is teaching the school in our district this summer and she is having good success. Her qualities as a teacher have never been excelled in this place.

Dock Meddaugh is making great preparations to build him a new house. He is chopping and clearing up his land and building fence. Dock is a hard working boy and we expect to hear something else before long, he cannot keep house all alone.
