Voth, Louise (3 July 1856 - 16 Apr. 1942)

Unity, Wis. - Mrs. Louise Voth, 85, died Thursday noon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anton Korntved, where she had been living since last November. She had been confined to her bed since February, and death resulted from old age complications.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Spencer Lutheran Church, with internment in North cemetery. The Rev. A. C. Stapel will officiate.

The body will lie in state at the Central Wisconsin Co-operative Funeral Home, Marshfield, from Saturday afternoon at 4 o’clock until Monday morning, when it will be taken to the church to lie in state there from 11:30 o’clock until the time of services.

Mrs. Voth, the former Louise Mellenthin, was born in Germany July 3, 1856, and was married in Mayville to the late Chris Voth. Before coming to live with her daughter, Mrs. Voth had lived for a year in St. Paul, and before that had made her home in Spencer.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Alvina Wagner, St. Paul, and Mrs. Charles (Emma) Ewert and Mrs. Anton (Frieda) Korntved, both of Unity, and 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren.

Eight children, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
