Cutts, Lydia (30 Sept. 1847 - 27 Aug. 1945)

Mrs. Lydia Cutts, aged 97 years, passed away early Monday morning at the Unity home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lena Cutts. The body was taken to the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby. Funeral services will be held at the Unity Methodist church Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, and internment will be made in the Brighton cemetery.

Mrs. Lydia Cutts, nee Towner, was born Sept. 30, 1847, at Oxford, Conn., and was married there Aug. 12, 1867 to Wilbur F. Cutts. She made her home in Unity and Ogema for the past 70 years. She was a member of the Methodist church and its Ladies society. Surviving are a son, Howard of Portland, Oregon; a daughter, Mrs. Ward Choates of Los Angeles; 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Three sons, George, Arthur and Royal preceded her in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Rolle Cutts of Hollandsburg, Ohio, who have been visiting at the home of Mrs. Lena Cutts, left Friday for Christy to spend a few days with LaVern Cutts and family.

Mrs. Howard Cutts and son, Malcolm and Mrs. Louie Schmidt of Ogema were visitors at the home of Mrs. Lena Cutts Monday.
