Ackerman, Dorothy (16 MAY 1933)

A very pretty wedding took place last week Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock when Miss Dorothy Ackerman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ackerman, Abbotsford, Wis., became the bride of Urban Decker, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Decker, Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.). The ceremony was performed at the St. Bernard Catholic Church at Abbotsford, Wis.

The bride was tastily attired in a blue crepe gown, with blue hat, dark slippers and hose, and carried an arm bouquet of carnations and mixed flowers. Her bridesmaid, Miss Leona Decker, wore a pink flat crepe gown with tan hat and shoes. The groom and his attendant, Joe Younker Jr., wore dark suits.

Following the ceremony dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. In the evening a free wedding dance was given and Hinke’s Hall.

The happy young couple will make their home with the groom’s parents for the present. The many friends of both join us in wishing them joy and prosperity in their journey through the years together.
