Plockelman, Irene (24 SEP 1930)

Irene Plockelman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Plockelman, and George Lindau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lindau, both families of the town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.), were married Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at the St. Peter Lutheran Parsonage by Rev. Brandt. They were attended by Miss Olga Brandt, sister of the groom, and Mr. Alvin Uhlig.

The bride was tastefully attired in a formal colonial gown of white satin and lace, with veil and wreath of orange blossoms, white slippers and stockings and carried a shower bouquet of pink and white sweet peas and carnations. The bridesmaid was gowned in shell pink crepe, pastel shaded slippers to match, rhinestone head band and wore a corsage bouquet of pink and white mixed flowers. The gentlemen wore dark business suits.

After the wedding ceremony, the bridal party motored to Marshfield where pictures were taken and at six o’clock a bounteous wedding dinner was served to about fifty assembled guests at the bride’s home. The dining room was cleverly decorated in pink and white, as was the Universal Hall, where a free wedding dance was held in the evening.

Misses Velda Peterson and Lelah Schwanagle of Colby, were guests at the Plockelman home for the wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Lindau will live here with the bride’s parents for the present as their plans for the future are vague.

We join with a host of friends in wishing them every happiness in their journey thru life together.
