Alan Voigt, 76, of Neillsville died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at his home.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Wis. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in Loyal Cemetery at a later date.

Alan Clyde Voigt was born Sept. 20, 1929, in Loyal, the son of Gustave and Elizabeth (Lucht) Voigt. He attended Taft School and graduated from Loyal High School. He served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1953. After his discharge, he was a semi driver until his marriage June 8, 1957, to Janice West. After selling his farm, Adam moved to Neillsville and worked 22 years at SunBurst Youth Homes as a care worker and child care coordinator and retired in 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; a son, Tim (Carla) Voigt; and a daughter, Tamela Shubert, all of Neillsville, Wis. Voigt also is survived by three granddaughters and a grandson. He is further survived by a brother, James (Kathy) Voigt of Marshfield; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ministry Home Care Hospice, 303 W. Upham St., Marshfield WI 54449.

Gesche Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
