Baehr, Amanda (25 JUN 1930)
A church wedding was solemnized Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, when Miss Amanda Baehr, daughter of Mrs. Otto Baehr, was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Brown of Gilman, Wis. The ceremony was performed before relatives and friends by the Rev. J. Brandt.
The bride was attended by her sister, Leona Baehr, and the groom’s sister, Mary Brown, while the groom’s attendants were his brother, Nicholas Brown, and the bride’s brother, Clarence Baehr.
The bride, wearing an attractive white georgette and lace gown, and a veil of tulle and lace, which hung in a train caught in cap effect with orange blossoms taken from the wedding veil of her mother, entered with the groom to the strains of the wedding march, "Pomp and Circumstance" by Elgar, played by Miss Cora Baehr. A shower bouquet of white roses and snapdragons completed her costume.
The bridesmaids, Leona and Mary, wore frocks of gas light blue and nile green respectively, each carrying a bouquet of pink roses and snapdragons.
A reception was held at the home of the bride for the immediate families, a dinner being served to eighteen guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown will make their home in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The Clarion joins a host of friends in wishing the young couple the best of everything in their journey thru life together.
