Ellingson, Gladys (20 AUG 1929)

Miss Gladys Ellingson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ellingson of Deer Creek, and Fred Doberstein of the town of Medford, were married Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 20th, at 2:30 at the Milan Lutheran Church, Rev. Grah officiating.

Miss Irene Ames, Athens, acted as bridesmaid and Mr. Vernie Ellingson, brother of the bride, was groomsman.

The bride was daintily attired in a beautiful white beaded crepe black satin dress with veil and slipper to match, and her maid wore a pale green georgette, the gentlemen wearing the customary blue.

After the wedding they motored to Dake’s at Medford for a wedding picture and then a reception at the home of the bride’s parents followed, only relatives and a few close friends being present, about 20 in all.

The home was a bower of beauty, white pale pink and pale green being the color scheme, and white bells and boughs were used to add loveliness.

In the evening they had a wedding dance at Spreen’s and everyone present had a dandy time.

They left for a honeymoon trip thru the Dells near Kilbourn and will be at home to their many friends after Sept. 1st, at Madison, where Mr. Doberstein is employed with the Grahl Construction Co.

The young couple are estimable young folks, of sterling worth, and have a host of friends who join us in wishing them joy and prosperity on life’s seas.
