Peterson, Betty L. (2 SEP 1944)

On Saturday, Sept. 2, 1944 at 7:30 p.m. at "The Wee Kirk O’The Heather", Glendale, Calif., occurred the marriage of Miss Betty L. Peterson, Los Angeles, Calif., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Peterson of South Minneapolis, Minn. And Elmer A. Schwarze of Los Angeles, Calif., son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schwarze of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Rev. Henry O. Kringle, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church of Glendale officiated.

The bride was attired in a simple two-piece pale blue street dress and wore a crown of white flowers and carried a white orchid with small white flowers and pale blue tufts bouquet on a Bible. The bridesmaid, Miss Bette Ann Taylor, wore a banana colored tailored suit with brown accessories and yellow rose corsage. The groom was attended by Roy D. Zilk.

The bride is a graduate of South High School and has been employed at the Douglas Aircraft Co. as typist. The groom is a graduate of the Greenwood High School with the class of 1939 and of the University of Wisconsin and is employed at the Douglas Aircraft Contour Development Department.

On their honeymoon they visited their respective parents and will be at home after Sept. 28, at 1214 ½ W. Santa Barbara Ave., Los Angeles, Calif. For the trip the bride wore a R.A.F. blue suit with white accessories.

The Gleaner joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy wedded life.
