Kotecki, Cecile T. (11 JUN 1932)
A very pretty wedding took place on Saturday morning, June 11, 1932, when Miss Cecile T. Kotecki of Milwaukee, and Mr. Lawrence A. Fritsch, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fritsch of Spencer, Wis., were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by the Rev. F.A. Kulig in St. Hedwig’s Church at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
The bride’s attendants were her two sisters, Regina, who acted as maid of honor, and Florence. Also Lucille Fritsch, sister of the groom, and Anne Osowski, aunt of the bride. The two flower girls, Dorothy Kotecki, sister of the bride, and Bernadett Osowski, cousin of the bride, wore blue dresses in Colonial style and carried a mixed flower bouquet. The bridesmaids wore gowns in peach, orchid, green and coral. They carried lovely bouquets of roses and carnations.
Emery Fritsch was his brother’s best man and the ushers were Geo. Osowski, cousin of the bride, and Myron Fritsch, another brother of the groom. The groom and his attendants wore suits of the customary blue.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents in Spencer, Wis., where a large number of relatives and friends gathered. Also a free dance was given at the Spencer Pavilion in the evening.
The bride is quiet well known in Thorp, having attended school here a few years ago. The groom is a graduate of the Spencer High School and is employed by the soo Line Railroad Co.
Mr. and Mrs. Fritsch left on Sunday on their honeymoon to Mellen and other points in the northern part of Wisconsin. Their many friends wish them many years of happy married bliss.
