The News last week gave an account of a horrible accident at Chili, the new station on the Omaha road, but at time of going to press we were unable to give the exact circumstatces in the case. The Neillsville Republican gives the following complete account of the accident: "Tuesday afternoon Henry Meyers too the 1:19 train to Chili, where he has been engaged for some time scaling logs for Tom Withee's saw mill, and while sitting near the windlass with his left arem resting on the gearing of the machine which hoists the logs from the ground into the mill, a seat he had often occupied, the engineere, not thinking of seeing him there, started the windlass, the gearing of which caught his arm drawing him in and ltterly ground the forarm between the massive cogs, stopping both the machine and engine. The accident happened about 3:30. His arm was bandaged up as best could be done without medical assistance and he was placed on the 4 p. m. train and brought here for medical treatment. It was decided to remove the arm to within three inches below the elbow. The flesh and bone were litterly ground to an unshapely mass, and other bruises were on both his face and arms. At last reports he was resting as quietly as possible under the circumstances.
