Falkner, Louis, Sr. (23 June 1888 - 25 Dec. 1959)

Louis Falkner Sr.

Louis Falkner Sr., 71, of 2213 New Jersey Ave., died suddenly Friday at his home. He was born June 23, 1888 in Germany, the son of the late Michael and Catherine Falkner. He came to the United States, settling in Sheboygan about 50 years ago.

On May 7, 1921, he married Miss Johanna Scherer at the Holy Name Catholic Church here. Before his retirement seven years ago he had been employed by the Garton Toy Co. for many years. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Louis Jr., of Sheboygan and John of Milwaukee; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Proveauz of Sheboygan; Mrs. Catherine Ulness of Milwaukee and Mrs. Johanna Mueller of Oostburg; six grandchildren; one brother John Falkner of Milwaukee, and one sister, Catherine in Germany.

His parents, one son and one daughter preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Ss. Syrl and Methodius Catholic Church following brief, family rites at the Gerend Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. The Rev. B. J. Wilimek, pastor, will be celebrant of the Mass.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. A parish vigil will be held at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday.
