Himes, Lauretta (15 MAY 1916)

The wedding bells rang very sweetly on Monday morning May 15, 1916, when Miss Lauretta Himes eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Himes of West Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.) was united in marriage to Mr. Clifford Breneman, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Breneman of the same place. The ceremony was performed at the bride’s home which was very tastefully decorated with the first buds of spring. Miss Alma Himes acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by his brother Clarence. All who know the hospitality of the Himes home will know what a tasty and appetizing dinner was prepared and served to the parties by the bride’s mother, who was assisted by the groom’s mother also. Judging by the contented look of each face we judge all enjoyed and did justice to the good things prepared.

The congratulations were numerous and all extend to the newlyweds best wishes for a long, happy and prosperous life. The ceremony was performed by Rev. S.R. Dunlop of Greenwood.
