Hahn, Walter, Jr. (December 8, 1937 - January 3, 2007)

Walter Hahn, Jr., age 69, of Neillsville, died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in the emergency room at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville, Wis.

Walter was born on December 8, 1937 in Urbana, IL, the son of Walter and Johneva (Turner) Hahn. He attended and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1955. He was united in marriage to Joyce Smith on February 26, 1960 in Tuscola, IL. Walter worked various jobs throughout his life, living most of it in Neillsville, Wis.

He attended the Living Hope Evangelical Free Church. He also belonged to the Masonic Lodge as a 32nd Degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three children, Walter III (Sharon) Hahn, of Neillsville; Gregory (Deborah) Hahn, of San Diego, CA; and Bethany (Darrell) Williams, of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren, Paul, Alex, Lance and Jacob Hahn and John and Cody Williams; one brother, Jerry Hahn, of Mahomet, IL; and two sisters, Elaine Cochran, of Chesapeake, VA; and Maryls Evans, of Santa Rosa, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Guy, Frank and John; and one sister Lillian.

A Memorial Service for Walter was held Monday, January 8, 2007 at the Living Hope Evangelical Free Church in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Steven Wentz officiated.

The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Walter’s family with funeral arrangements.
