Lincoln, Albert Charles (September 11, 1911 - June 21, 2006)

Albert Lincoln, age 94, of Neillsville, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville, Wis.

Albert Charles Lincoln was born on September 11, 1911, the son of Earl and Mary (Strandt) Lincoln on the family farm in Harvard, IL. He attended grade school and High School in Harvard. He worked with his brother Glen in a portable feed mill business and then farmed for several years in McHenry County, IL. He married Violet Felgenhauer on April 25, 1936. They purchased a farm in Washburn Township and moved there in November 1948. He also worked at Rollohome from 1952 until his retirement in 1976. He continued to farm until 1982. He loved to do wood working as a hobby. He was a faithful attendee of the community Bible study conducted by the American Missionary Fellowship.

He is survived by his children, Charles Lincoln, of Moses Lake, WA; Jean Lincoln, of Hopkins, MN; Loraine Lincoln, of Minneapolis, MN; Gerald (Kathy) Lincoln, of Mount Joy, PA; Norma Lincoln (Significant other, L. C. Allen), of Hopkins, MN; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Vera A. Tanem; three brothers, Warren, Francis and Glen and a sister, Florence.

Funeral Services for Albert were held on Monday, June 26, 2006, at the Living Hope Evangelical Free Church in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Ralph Schram officiated. Music was provided by Connie Schram, organist, and Lois and John Garbisch vocalists. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Casket Bearers were: John Lincoln, Adam Nantais, Joel Tanem, Brian Tanem, Ed Kuhn, and L. C. Allen.
