Huntzicker, Fred W. (20 NOV 1883 - 9 JAN 1948)

Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) - Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Grace Methodist Church for Fred W. Huntzicker, 5, president of the Wis. Cheese Producers’ Co-operative and vie-president of Lan O’Lakes Creameries, Inc., who died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Friday morning (Jan 9, 1948).

The Rev. Lee H. Holmes, pastor, will be the officiating clergyman and burial will take place at Greenwood.

The body will lie in state at the Baxter and Ritger Funeral Home in Marshfield Sunday afternoon and evening and at the Stabnow Funeral Home in Greenwood from Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock until Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock, when it will be taken to the church to lie in state until the time of the funeral service.

Mr. Huntzicker, son of Mrs. Maria (Nichol) Huntzicker, Boulder, Colo., and the late John H. Huntzicker, was born in Greenwood Nov. 20, 1883, and lived there all his life with the exception of eight years in Neillsville, Wis.

He was graduated from Neillsville High School and married at Omro June 2, 1920, to Maud Miller.

Surviving besides his mother and wife are five children, Miss Jane Huntzicker, teacher at Aberdeen, Wash.; Miss Mary Huntzicker, teacher at Washturna, Wash.; John Huntzicker, employed in the research department of Douglas Aircraft, Santa Monica, Calif.; Miss Anne Huntzicker, student at Central State Teachers College, Stevens Point; and William Huntzicker, at home.

His three sisters who survive are Miss Ruth Huntzicker, Elcho, Nev.; Miss Grace Huntzicker, San Francisco, Calif.; and Mrs. Ralph Houston, Denver, Colo. His brother, Paul M. Huntzicker, died at Denver Colo., three years ago.

Mr. Huntzicker was a member of Green Lodge No. 249, Free and Accepted Masons.
