Gumieny, Marie (17 MAY 1947)

Miss Bernadine Gumieny, daughter of Mrs. Marie Gumieny, and Bernard Lindner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Math. Lindner, of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), exchanged nuptial vows in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Milwaukee, May 17, 1947, at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Joseph T. McQuestion officiated.

Given in marriage by her uncle, Casimir Blonski, the bride wore an entrained white satin gown styled with long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. She wore a finger tip veil and carried white roses and carnations.

Miss Marcella Gumieny, the bride’s sister, in blue moiré taffeta and long gloves, trimmed in roses was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Loretta Lindner, a sister of the groom, and Miss Audrey Novitzski, a cousin of the bride. They wore pink and yellow moiré taffeta dresses and long gloves trimmed in rose, and carried red roses and white carnations.

The flower girl and ring bearer were a niece and nephew of the bride.

Frank Lindner attended his brother as best man, and Richard Gumieny, the bride’s brother, ushered.

A reception for 300 relatives and friends was held at Kelly’s Inn at Hales Corners after the ceremony.

Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Math Lindner and son, Frank and James, and daughter, Loretta and Helen, Robert Lindner, Carl Lindner, Mrs. Catherin Schmitz, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Schmitz, Mrs. John Bertz, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Budzicz and son, Norman, Chicago. Other guests were present, also from Saginaw, Mich., and Milwaukee.
