Leach, Lucy (22 SEP 1945)

Miss Lucy Leach, Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Leach, Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), formerly Greenwood residents, became the bride of Sgt Fred J. Gosse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gosse, of Abbotsford, in a wedding ceremony read by the Rev. Mr. Nagler in the Methodist Church in Milwaukee, Sept. 22, 1945. Attendants were Pfc. Vernon L. Gosse, Cleveland, Ohio, brother of the groom, and Miss Irene Felden, Milwaukee.

Both the bride and her attendant wore brown suits and corsages of yellow roses and white carnations.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the groom’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Meyers, Milwaukee.

Mrs. Gosse was graduated from the Greenwood High School with the class of 1942 and has been employed in Milwaukee since that time. After visiting in Abbotsford and Neillsville the couple returned to Milwaukee to make their home.

Mr. Gosse received his discharge from the Army Air Forces at Camp McCoy Sept. 9, at which time he was ranked a sergeant. He had been in Army service fro 38 months, 24 of which were spent overseas in the ETO with the Ninth Army Air Force. He wears the Presidential Citation with Oak Medal, and the ETO ribbon with six battle stars. Before entering Army service he had been employed in Milwaukee.
