Poler, Charles E. (21 Aug. 1853 - 28 April 1940)

Charles E. Poler, 86, passed away at the home of his son, Ollie Poler, of the town of Washburn, at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, April 28. He came to Clark County several years ago, and had since made his home with his sons.

Mr. Poler was born at Omro, Wisconsin, August 21, 1853. He was married in 1875 at Virginia, Minn., and for many years he was engaged in farming at Virginia and Hastings. Mrs. Poler passed away in 1926.

Four daughters, Mrs. Bert Durrand, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Nettie Stead, Omro, Wis.; Mrs. Frank Evans, Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Joyce Harris, Hastings, Minn., and two sons; William and Ollie Poler, Washburn, survive. Two daughters preceded him in death. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Schiller Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. G. W. Longenecker conducting he services. The body was taken to Hastings, Minn., for burial.
