Potter, Loretta (14 JUN 1889 - 19 OCT 1942)

Mrs. Homer Potter, 53, of route 4, Marshfield, died at 7:30 o’clock last night at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the result of a complication of ailments. She had been ill for the past six months and was hospitalized for about two weeks.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at St. John’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Augustine Frisch officiating at the Requiem High Mass. Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery at Hillside.

A rosary service will be held Wednesday evening at 9:15 o’clock at the Rembs Funeral Home, where the body is lying in state.

Mrs. Potter, the former Loretta Moorehead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Moorehead, was born in Chicago June 14, 1889, and was educated in Chicago.

From 1916 until three years ago, Mrs. Potter lived in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and for the past three years had resided near Marshfield. Her marriage to Homer Potter took place at Greenwood June 18, 1919.

Besides her husband she is survived by five children, John Potter, Pondose, Calif., Pvt. Edward Potter, Camp Wheeler, Ga., and Raymond, Robert and Mary Jane at home; a brother, David Moorehead, Lakeside, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. William McKenna, Greenwood.
