Keiner, Christ & Elise (45th - 22 NOV 1940)

Mr. and Mrs. Christ Keiner of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) entertained friends and relatives at their home on Sunday (1 Dec 1940) in observance of their 45th wedding anniversary.

Christ Keiner and Elise Romang were married at Wausau Nov. 22, 1895, by the Rev. Mr. Rheinhardt. They have been resident of Greenwood since March 1922, when Mr. Keiner and his sons purchased the North Side Meat Market, and have been in business in town ever since, although they moved to a new location in 1927. Before settling in Greenwood, the Keiners lived in Athens, where Mr. Keiner owned and operated a meat market for 20 years.

Six children were born to them: Henry of Greenwood, Carl of Eau Claire; Miss Louise of Greenwood; Mrs. Martha Corbin and Mrs. Edith Leberg of Pittsville; Mrs. Freda Severson of Westby.

The day served as a double celebration, for 8-year-old Marlene Corbin, a granddaughter of the Keiners, whose birthday was Thursday, Nov. 27, also chose Sunday for her party.

Out of town guests attending were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Keiner and daughters, Patricia, Mary and Marie, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. High Severson, Westby; Mrs. Martha Corbin, sons, Lawrence and Charles and daughter, Marlene, and Raymond Hayes, all of Pittsville.
