Keiner, Marseiles J. (6 DEC 1938)

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keiner, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), announce the marriage of their daughter, Marseilles Josephine, to Chester P. Nachtwey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nachtwey, Wabeno, which took place in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Milwaukee, on Dec 6, 1938 at 7 a.m.

Seasonal flowers decorated the church for the nuptial mass, which was solemnized by the Rev. Fr Meyer.

Traditional white satin was worn by the bride. Her gown was designed with a short train and puffed sleeves, and at the neckline she wore a tiny gold cross. Her fingertip veil fell in soft folds from a velvet crown-effect headdress. White gloves, in elbow-length, and white satin slippers, completed her ensemble. She carried a rosary and a bouquet of white lilies.

After the ceremony immediate relatives and friends were entertained at a wedding breakfast at the Astor Hotel in Milwaukee. Later a luncheon was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kazdo. In the evening the couple were honored at a reception and 6 o’clock dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Koenig.

Guests from out of town included Mr. and Mrs. Tony Miller and Mrs. Josephine Obernberger, Racine.

Mr. Nachtwey and his bride are now at home at 828 N. Milwaukee St., Milwaukee. The bridegroom is employed as a waiter in the Red Room of the Plankinton Arcade, Milwaukee.

The bride, who was graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1936, and from a La Crosse business school in February 1938, is doing office work and waitress work in the Carlotta Tea Room, Milwaukee.
