Taylor, Charles W. (21 NOV 1862 - 25 FEB 1935)

Charles W. Taylor passed away at his home in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.) on Feb. 25, 1935, after an illness of three weeks.

Charles W. Taylor was born at Antioch, Ill., Nov. 21, 1862, a son of Worthy S. and Elizabeth Taylor. He resided at Genoa City with his mother and stepfather, J.H. Rowe, for 16 years, and went with them to Chamberlain, S.D., when they moved there.

He was united in marriage to Mortie Ainsworth at Chamberlain in 1888 and resided there until 1901, when he moved to Antioch, Ill., where he lived until 1910. He then moved to Genoa City, where his wife preceded him in death in 1917. A year later he moved to New Lisbon and from there to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1921.

Besides his many friends, he leaves to mourn his passing three sons: Geo. W. of Los Angeles, Calif.; Harvey H. of Genoa City, and John H. of Owen; one sister, May A. Rowe of River Fall; and one brother, Morris Rowe of Des Moines, Iowa.

Funeral service was held from the Congregational Church in Owen, Feb. 28, W.P. Powell officiating. The body was taken to Genoa City for burial.
