Seefeldt, Adeline (Greening) (02May 1921 - 03 Nov 2006)

Adeline Seefeldt

Adeline Seefeldt, 85, Unity, died Friday, Nov 3, 2006, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, North Spencer. The Rev. Karl Rose will preside. Pallbearers will be Michael Seefeldt, Dustin Seefeldt, Clint Seefeldt, Andrew Seefeldt, Jacob Carey, Bradley Carey and Shannon Alsteen. Her granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Community Funeral Home, Spencer and Friday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.

Community Funeral Home, Spencer, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Adeline was born May 2, 1921, in Tustin to Paul and Lydia (Krause) Greening. She was a graduate of Unity, Wis. High School. Before her marriage, she worked as a housekeeper, in a cheese factory and a sanatorium.

She and Eldore Seefeldt were married July 6, 1945, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. They farmed together and raised six children.

Adeline belonged to area homemaker’s organizations and held many offices for them. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid and served in the Cradle Group at church. Adeline was also a former member of St. John’s Ladies Aid.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Seefeldt, Unity; six children, Darold Seefeldt, Unity, Joyce (Timothy) Alsteen, Rhinelander, Duane (Rendean) Seefeldt, Spencer, Rhonda (Joseph) Weix, Spencer, Trudy (Frank) Carey, Unity and Mark (Vicky) Seefeldt, Spencer; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Marvin (Agnes) Greening, Wisconsin Rapids; seven sisters, Evelyn (Wayne) Missling, Phillips, Irmgard Best, Laurel, MT, Eleanor (Robert) Coop, Laurel, MT, Anita Hein, Spencer, Dorothy Konop, Spencer, Arlene Kroening, Edgar and Beverly (Donald) Sleeter, Wisconsin Rapids.

Adeline is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lois Donovan.
