Gotter, Elsie (Marriage - 18 Oct. 1931)

The marriage of Miss Elsie Gotter to Mr. Alvin Garber of Humbird took place Sunday, October 18, at the Grant Lutheran church, Rev. Buth performing the ceremony.

Immediately after the wedding the couple went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Breseman, which was decorated for the occasion in green and white streamers with autumn leaves and many wedding bells.

The bride wore a dress of pea green silk and carried a bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. She was attended by Mrs. Wm. Breseman as maid of honor and Mrs. E. R. Anding as bridesmaid. The groom and best man, Wm. Breseman, each wore a dark blue suit.

At 6 o’clock a wonderful wedding dinner was served at the Breseman home at which plates were set for 60 persons.

Among out of town guests were: Alex Lubluski and family of La Crosse; John Bryber and family; Will and Louis Garber; Mr. and Mrs. H. Gerber, Mr. and Mrs. Art Christen; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Van Horn and Wilson Van Horn and families, of Humbird.

The bride is well known in and around Granton, but for the past six months has been employed near Humbird, and the groom has spent most of his years at Humbird.

Mr. and Mrs. Garber will leave shortly for a honeymoon trip to Redonia and will also visit at various pother points.
