Pickett, Ephriam A. (29 Dec. 1863 - 18 April 1930)

Ephriam A. Pickett was born in Adams county, Wisconsin, Dec. 29,1863 and departed this life at his home in Chetek, April 18,1930, aged 66 years 3 months and 19 days.

In 1864 his parents moved to Jackson county where he resided until April, 1920 when he moved to Chetek where he has since resided.

Mr. Pickett was united in marriage with Miss Laura Stroup on March 10,1886 and to this union eight children were born: William and Clarence dying in infancy; Lillie, who died in 1919; Mrs. Gus Billerbeck of Enterprise; Cregob. Mrs. Norman Tallman, of Eagleton; Clayton and Jay, who reside in the town of Garden Valley, one on the old home farm, and Pearlie.

His death is mourned by his devoted wife, three sons, two daughters, three sisters, two brothers, and twenty grandchildren.

The remains were brought to this village from Chetek, accompanied by the family, Monday eight, and funeral services were held at the Free Methodist church Tuesday afternoon. Rev. J. W. Eberly, pastor of the Chetek church preached the burial sermon, and Rev. A. E. Knaak assisted in the service. A large congregation of friends and especially those who lived as neighbors drung his long residence west of the village attended the services. The burial was in the family lot in the Curtis Cemetery in Garden Valley.

I am trying to find out his parents name he was my great grandfather on my mother's (Delores Pickett) side of family
