STOCKTON, Calif. -- Larry Wayne Laack, 72, of Stockton, Calif., died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life service was held Oct. 26, 2006, at the Chapel of the Flowers in Sierra View Mausoleum at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, Calif.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral assisted the family with the arrangements.

He was born July 26, 1934, in Dorchester to Gilbert and Daisy Laack. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He had served as a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Laack of Stockton; his children, Michael Laack, Orange County, Calif., John (Shelly) Laack and Karen Laack, all of Stockton; three grandchildren; and his siblings, Dan Laack, West Allis, Nancy Diedrich, Tripoli, and Betty Mouriski, Marshfield; nieces and nephews.
