Schwantes, Dorothy (Marriage - 1 May 1907)
At the home of the bride’s parents in the town of Brighton, on Wednesday afternoon May 1st occurred the marriage of Miss Dorothy Schwantes to Leonard Nickel, Rev. Imm officiating.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schwantes, old residents of this section and is a most estimable young lady, she has lived in Brighton all her life and is highly esteemed by her many friends.
The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. George Nickel who reside four miles east of the village. He was likewise born and raised in Marathon county so it goes without saying that he has the right stuff in him. "Len" is a popular, steady, young man.
The Register joins their many friends in wishing them a happy and prosperous journey along the pike.
