Hirsch, Thomas K. (November 26, 1936 - October 15, 2004)

Thomas K. Hirsch, age 67, of River Falls, Wisconsin, died Friday, October 15, 2004 at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

He was born on November 26, 1936 the son of Mark and Rose Ellen (Keefe) Hirsch in Medford, Wisconsin. He graduated from Thorp, Wisconsin High School with the class of 1954, attended the University of Wisconsin River Falls, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Tom served in the United States Air Force.

On May 28, 1960 he was married to June Dowling in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He began his career with General Mills, then worked for over 30 years fro 3M, retiring in 1994. Tom and his family have lived in the River Falls area for 44 years. EH was a member of the River Falls Golf Club, Toastmasters, and the St. Croix Cordsmen. He enjoyed traveling, wood-working, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed building WWII model airplanes.

He is survived by his wife, June; children, Kurt Hirsch and wife, Angela of River Falls, and Rachel Hirsch of River Falls; 4 grandchildren; sister, Barbara Stevenson and husband, David of Henderson, Nevada; aunt and uncle, Melva and Tom Keefe of Medford, Wisconsin; and many more relatives and friends.

Preceding Tom in death are his parents, Mark and Rose Ellen Hirsch.

A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls. The service was officiated by David Hagstrom and John Henning. Music was provided by Betty Lou Oppegard and Roger Tweiten.
