Jahn, Bertha (16 AUG 1860 - 11 JUN 1927)

Mrs. Bertha Jahn passed away suddenly Saturday, June 11, 1927, at her home in Garden Valley (Jackson Co., Wis.)

Bertha Ginskey was born in Buffalo Co., Wis., on Aug. 16, 1860, where she grew to womanhood. On Nov. 18, 1888, she was united in marriage to Mr. William Jahn, and immediately after their marriage she came to Jackson County, where she has since resided.

Deceased was a loving wife and mother, and was respected by all acquaintances. She leaves to mourn her death, her aged mother, three sons and three daughters: Mrs. Thomas Tande of Alma Center, Frank of Milwaukee, Mrs. Clarence Zimmerman of Houghtonburg, Adolph of Pole Grove, and Clarence and Elsie at home. One son, Oscar, died in infancy. Mrs. Jahn is also mourned by eight grandchildren.

Services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. L.L. Litchfield officiating. Burial was in the Garden Valley Cemetery, where her husband was laid to rest sixteen years ago. Her son from Milwaukee, and her mother, who is in her 88th year, a sister with her son, and two daughters from Alma, came to attend the funeral.
